Daniela Cikatić-Javorčić

BIOGRAFIJA
Daniela Cikatić Javorčić rođena je 3. studenog 1969. godine u Splitu gdje je pohađala srednjoškolski Centar u kulturi i obrazovanju Natko Nodilo. Nakon položene dvije godine studijskog programa za nastavnika likovne kulture na splitskom Filozofskom fakultetu upisala je smjer grafike na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u Zagrebu. Diplomirala je u klasi prof. Miroslava Šuteja 1996. godine.

U studenom 2014. godine na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti Sveučilišta u Zagrebu obranila je doktorski rad pod nazivom Umjetnička tematizacija ženskog identiteta u reklamnom oglašavanju te stekla akademski stupanj doktorice umjetnosti iz umjetničkog područja pod mentorstvom red. prof. art. Nevenke Arbanas.

Od 1997. godine zaposlena je kao likovna terapeutkinja u Centru za autizam u Splitu te surađuje na kolegiju art-terapije na Umjetničkoj akademiji Sveučilišta u Splitu. Osmislila je, uredila i kao mentor vodila pet knjiga i slikovnica svojih učenika.

Priredila je niz samostalnih izložbi, izlagala na brojnim skupnim izložbama te organizirala i vodila nekoliko grafičkih radionica. Predstavljala je Hrvatsku, uz Renatu Ladović i Gordanu Kovačić, na Biennalu Mediterana u Aleksandriji 2007. godine kada je nagrađena Plaketom za autorski rad.

BIOGRAPHY
Daniela Cikatić Javorčić was born on 3 November 1969 in Split where she attended the ''Natko Nodilo'' Centre for Culture and Education. After having graduated from a two-year study programme for art teachers at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split, she enrolled in the study programme of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. She graduated in the class of professor Miroslav Šutej in 1996.

In November 2014, she defended her doctoral thesis entitled Artistic Thematisation of the Female Identity in Advertising at the Academy of Fine Arts, the University in Zagreb, thus earning a Doctor of Arts degree under the mentorship of an artist and full professor Nevenka Arbanas.

Since 1997, she has been working as an art therapist in the Centre for Autism in Split, and also actively participating in the art therapy course at the Arts Academy of the University of Split. She has designed and edited five books and picture books created by her students.

Her work has been shown in a series of solo and in numerous group exhibitions. She has organised and conducted several graphic workshops. She represented Croatia alongside Renata Ladović and Gordana Kovačić at the Mediterranean Biennial in Alexandria in 2007 when she was also awarded with the Author's Work Plaque.
