Biography
Mila was born on September 1, 1959 in Split (Croatia)
where she obtained Chemistry master`s degree.
In 1987 she opened gallery "Dispelling of grief" in her studio in Split
where people were welcome to taste vegetarian food and enjoy
live music evening programs.
For ten years she thaught biochemistry and nutrition in High School.
For a while Mila lived in Italy, India and Sweden.
She is a self made graphic artist and sculptor
and had five solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions
around the world.
From 2012 to 2016 Mila published two art books "Amalia" and "The one they call from afar" with more than 500 drawings and engravings mostly never exhibited.
Mila over years made many terracotta and stone portraits.
She also illustrate a few books for publishing house "Demetra" and among them "The Buddhist Conception of Nirvana" by Stcerbatsky.
Her main focus is the research of drawing directly in copper.
Mila anatomically analyses human face and her own soul.
Her images and sculptures are soaked in the pleasure and pain of existence, joy of renewal and ultimative contemplativeness contained in long wise warning glances.
