Vrijeme uvijek kontinuirano napreduje i svojim protokom mijenja nas i našu okolinu.

TIME MOLECULES II
With the new cycle "Time Molecules II", Ivana Puljić continues her research into the phenomenon of time. Seven large-format paintings provide a new perspective on the subject of time, its impermanence, and the illusion of existence. Compared to the previous cycle, Ivana's "molecules" are now becoming more expressive, dynamic, and even more abstract.
Time is difficult to define due to its subjective nature. In human experience, time is measured by the number of events or changes in a given period. Sometimes it seems to us that it is constantly repeating itself, thus making the events already familiar and known to us. Repetitive cycles occur in all spheres of nature, from microscopic organisms to large ecosystems. This natural cycle of birth, death, and new beginnings is also described in these paintings.
Time always progresses continuously and its flow changes us and our environment. Like the saying "everything flows and nothing stands still", so is time, a constant flow of changes. Nothing stays the same, everything changes and flows, even when it reappears, it doesn't reappear in the same way.
In her paintings, Puljić shows the time as indefinite forms, through symbolic and abstract motifs. The paintings are dominated by dense coatings of color, which rise from dark backgrounds. Rich, dynamic textures are achieved by combining techniques and coatings. Puljić uses earthy shades, with contrasts of red and blue, thus creating a visual balance in the paintings. Light breaks through thick coatings and cracked surfaces which look like the earth's crust. She approaches each painting in a different way, whether it is with the choice of colors and motifs, whether it is with textures, but the paintings as a whole exist perfectly, as if they are indefinite abstract landscapes in indefinite time. We can imagine them anywhere and place them at any time.
The exhibition presents the artist's subjective view of time and its movement and also talks about the collective experience. The paintings encourage the spectator to think about the nature of time and its role. It is left to each individual to interpret the paintings according to their own level of consciousness and their own experiences. The artist invites us to embark on a journey through time and explore it from multiple perspectives.
Furthermore, the quote from Heraclitus can be used as a basis for thinking about how the paintings in the "Time Molecules II" exhibition are a symbol of eternal change and movement, both in the context of time as a category and in the context of the changes that take place in and around us.
