Any person with legal capacity who is a Croatian citizen or a foreign citizen residing in the Republic of Croatia and meets the special conditions prescribed by the Statute and regulations can become a regular member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists - Split.

Regular membership is divided into the following sections:

• Painting section
• Cypriot section
• Multimedia Section
• Curatorial Section
• Interdisciplinary Arts Section

ADMISSION FOR CANDIDATES NOT SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL COMMITTEE EVALUATION

Candidates who have completed one of the higher education studies listed below are not subject to additional evaluation by the expert committee after applying to the competition.

• ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS, Croatian or foreign with a nostrified diploma, with the title:
• academic painter, Master of Painting, Doctor of Arts in Painting, academic graphic artist, Master of Graphic Arts, Doctor of Arts in Graphic Arts, university specialist in graphic arts
• academic sculptor, master of sculpture, doctor of arts in sculpture, master of sculpture – specialist
• Master of Animated Film and New Media, Master of Film, Media Art and Animation, Master of Media Arts
• Mag. art. and Mag. paed. – Professor of Art Education and Fine Arts, Master of Art Education and Fine Arts
• mag.art. - Master of Conservation and Restoration

• ART HISTORY STUDIES, Croatian or foreign with a recognized diploma with the title:
• Master of Art History
• Master of Art Education
• Doctor of Philosophy in Art History

note: Diplomas from private educational institutions which are not recognized as academic institutions within the higher education system in the Republic of Croatia do not meet the requirements for the requested formal education, candidates with such diplomas are considered candidates subject to additional evaluation by the admissions committee when applying for the competition.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL COMMISSION EVALUATION

Candidates who do not have the qualifications listed above  I can access the competition if I meet the following conditions:

• For art sections: at least three solo exhibitions in recognized gallery spaces in the Republic of Croatia and/or a recommendation from a recognized visual arts expert.

• For the curatorial section: at least three publicly published expert texts and/or recommendations from a recognized expert in the field of visual arts.

Qualitative assessment of candidates without formal education who have met the requirements to apply for the selection process, is conducted by the expert commission for the admission of new members.

University bachelor's degree holders are considered candidates without formal education when applying for a competition.

APPLICATION FOR THE COMPETITION

Admission to regular membership for all candidates is carried out through a public tender, which is announced at least once a year, usually during March or April. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the prescribed online form, within the designated deadline. All elements of the application documentation must be submitted exclusively through the specified form. Applications received after the deadline or submitted in another way will not be considered.
