Goran Jeličić is an artist who is particularly preoccupied with rhythm as a visual element. He demonstrates this through his choice of animals as his subject matter. The animal body is even more vibrant and untamed than the human one, and it is perfectly suited to such a painterly sensibility. To achieve this richness of line and the dynamism of rhythm, Goran chose the perfect technique of drawing with a brush dipped in ink. Depending on the pressure, the brush produces a thicker or thinner line; it creates the softest transition from a thin line to a plane. The lines of the dog's, horse's, or rooster's body flow vividly from extremely thin to extremely thick, conveying the movement and character of each animal. Goran's drawings—sketches—are created in a single breath; with just a few lines, he captures the animal's psychological traits. With his skill, he tames the brush, which turns and bounces in his hand with ease, leaving a wealth of diverse lines on the paper that he successfully composes into interesting drawings. With a keen eye, he captures interesting, fleeting movements, outlines that reveal the unique beauty and character of each animal, and it is this very speed that brings out the best in Goran: spontaneity and effortlessness. Sketching is a way of drawing that requires the artist to concentrate on what is essential, not allowing the drawing to be bogged down by details. At the same time, Goran's sketches can serve as the basis for more in-depth works of art, because at the foundation of every painting is a quality drawing.

Living in idyllic Muć, Goran has always been surrounded by animals, so his choice of artistic theme is not surprising. The dynamism and playfulness of a dog, the grace and dignity of a horse, the flutter and energy of a rooster, the composure and calmness of a cow – Goran impressively transfers these onto paper, showcasing the splendor of the animal world. In this world, there is no corruption or pretense; everything is honest and natural, and here, an artist like Jeličić feels good and safe. He truly understands and above all respects all living beings, and we feel this when looking at his works.

Goran Jeličić is a young artist at the beginning of his creative journey. With his first solo exhibition, he has introduced himself with a quality cycle of animalistic art. Proving himself to be an excellent physiognomist of animals, a skilled draftsman, and a connoisseur of animal temperament, he has laid a good foundation for future creations.
It is desirable that his life motto - art inspired by life and life inspired by art - will exist and endure throughout his entire life.
