Call for Exhibitions and Project Proposals for 2026: Galić Salon and other spaces
The tender is open from May 27th to July 5, 2025.
There is no fee to participate in the competition.

About Salon Galić
Salon Galić began its exhibition activities in 1924. Throughout its history, it has hosted numerous prominent artists, and in 2014, it was declared a cultural asset of the Republic of Croatia. In 2024, the centenary of this oldest Split gallery was celebrated. It continues to retain its cult status and plays an indispensable role in affirming and promoting contemporary art at the national level.

OTHER SPACES
HULU is developing collaborations with numerous cultural institutions and art associations, and the association's Art Council has the opportunity to propose a certain number of projects for realization in other exhibition spaces or public spaces in Split and its surroundings. If you believe your project is suitable for a specific location in Split or its surroundings, you can indicate this in the application form.

THE CALL IS FOR:
- solo exhibitions/projects
- joint exhibitions/projects
- educational and discursive programs (workshops, forums, round tables, discussions, lectures)
- curatorial concepts
- interinstitutional cooperation
- international cooperation
- residency program (the residency program proposal must be linked to an exhibition, educational content, or discursive activity)
THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION IS HELD BY:
– all professional visual artists and art historians, curators, and other professionals in the field of fine arts, multimedia, and interdisciplinary arts.
DEADLINE AND APPLICATION FOR THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Only applications submitted through the online form, containing all required elements and submitted within the deadline, will be considered.
The deadline for applications is June 27, 2025, at 23:59.
THE CONTRACT IS EXTENDED UNTIL 07.05.2025.
COMPETITION RESULTS
Complete applications will be reviewed by the HULU-Split Artistic Council, composed of Gildo Bavčević, Ana Čukušić, Robert Jozić, Andrea Musa, Neli Ružić, and Josip Šurlin. The Artistic Council will submit its proposals to the Management Board to define HULU's program for the year 2026.
The tender is conducted in accordance with the prescribed rules Rulebook on Program Activities i Rules of Procedure of the Arts Council Croatian Association of Visual Artists – Split.
The competition results will be published by September on the official website. http://hulu-split.hr, and selected proponents will be contacted for further discussion on program implementation.
